For years I've watched outdoor communities struggle with bad platforms and clunky workarounds. So I built something better.
Adventure Frens works the way outdoor communities actually work: post an adventure, people sign up, everyone has a great time. Whether you're organizing for a group or by yourself, it works the same way.
I'm building something I want to use, and I'm betting you will too.
Our Commitments
What we promise, and what we'll never do.
Core features stay free
Standard functionality will always be free. Period. No bait-and-switch, no feature gates on things you already use.
No hostage groups
We will never hold your community ransom. If you built a group, it’s yours. We won’t email your members asking someone else to pay up if you stop subscribing.
No spam or dark patterns
No annoying popups, no guilt-trip modals, no notification spam. Your screen is yours.
No pay-to-cut-in-line
Paid users won’t get waitlist priority or bump free users down the list. If you signed up first, you’re first.
Honest about money
Let's be honest about how this works. Running a platform costs money. Groups that collect fees or run commercial activities pay a small fee to help keep Adventure Frens running — personal groups and core features stay free, always.
We're not offering things like unlimited photo storage for free, because that kind of promise eventually forces platforms to either jack up prices or start doing shady stuff to make money. We'd rather be upfront now than apologize later.
No rug pulls. No sudden paywalls. No enshittification.
